By using the app you agree to these terms.DonationsYour donation is a gift to the nonprofit named at Checkout, and your payment goes directly to that nonprofit. The products shown describe what your gift is meant to provide. The nonprofit has final control over how donations are used and will use them for the needs shown wherever it can.Donations are voluntary and are generally not refundable. If you were charged by mistake or without your permission, contact us and we will work with the nonprofit to put it right.FeesJoining DonateDash is free for a nonprofit. Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026Who we areDonateDash is an app for giving supplies to communities through approved nonprofit organizations. DonateDash is an independent platform, not a charity. This policy explains what information the app collects and what happens to it.What we collectWhen you donate: your full name and email address, a social media handle if you choose to give one, and the details of the gift (what it was for, the amount, the date, and the community and nonprofit). When you sign in with Apple: the identifier Apple gives the app for your account and the email address Apple shares with us, which may be a private relay address. You also choose a username and give an email address and your full name.Payment details: card and Apple Pay payments are handled by Apple and by our payment processor, Stripe. DonateDash never receives or stores your full card number.Nonprofit staff: the email address used to sign in, the organization's details, and what a nonprofit enters in the application form on our website.Kept on your phone only: the communities you save with the heart, and receipts for donations made without an account.Your location, only if you choose to share it: the app uses it on your phone to show communities near you. It is not sent to DonateDash and is not stored. Sharing it is optional, and the app works the same without it.Your camera, only if you choose to scan a card: the payment form uses it to read the card number. DonateDash does not receive or store the camera images. We do not use advertising or tracking tools. We do not collect your contacts. How we use itTo process your gift and create your tax receipt. To show you your profile, your level, and your past donations. To show your username, rank, and level on the leaderboard, unless you turn that off in Settings; your full name, your email address, and the amounts you give are never shown to other donors. To answer you when you ask for help. To prevent fraud and meet our legal duties.Who we share it withThe nonprofit that receives your gift gets your name, your email address, and the details of the gift, because it must keep a record of its donations.Companies that run parts of the service for us: Stripe (payments), Apple (Sign in with Apple and Apple Pay), Supabase (our database), and Carrd (our website).Authorities, when the law requires it.We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. How long we keep itWe keep your account details until you delete your account. Donation records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account is deleted.Your choicesYou can donate without creating an account. You can take yourself off the leaderboard: open Profile, then Settings, and turn off "Show me on the leaderboard". You can stop sharing your location at any time in your phone's Settings app.You can delete your account in the app: open Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. This removes your sign-in, your username, and the name and email saved with your account. Donations you already made stay in the nonprofit's records, with the name and email you gave at the time, but are no longer linked to an account. You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it. If you live in California, you have the right to know what we hold about you, to have it deleted, and to have it corrected, and we will not treat you differently for asking.ChildrenDonateDash is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.SecurityInformation is encrypted while it travels between the app and our servers, and access to it is limited by strict rules. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.Changes to this policyIf we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say so in the app.ContactContact us at [email protected]
